LOS ANGELES, CA – Outwardly and at first sight, Rosebrock appears to most as a hero… But in fact he is only does what he does for the limelight. And if anyone tries to steal his limelight even unintentionally or contact any of his sources in person, on the phone, or by e-mail even for the most benevolent reason Rosebrock will endeavor to destroy their lives with lies and fabrications of events…
The photo above is that of “Public Figure” or “Limited Public Figure” Robert Lea Rosebrock a/k/a Bob Rosebrock, a “so-called” Veterans Advocate, and Director of the Old Veterans Guard and Veterans Revolution, and a self-proclaimed “Bully” who recently admitted in an E-mail to this Author that in-fact he is a “Bully” believes he can mistreat, ridicule, verbally and emotionally abuse, and Libel and Slander, and otherwise Fabricate Lies about people both in person, through nasty E-mails he sends to them, and through published stories he writes about them and get away with all of it without impunity or an equal response from his “Victims” because of his 6-feet and 4-inch height, and weight of about 250-pounds, and his “Bully”-Like tactics…
But as you will see, through a series of nasty E-mails which will be displayed starting in Part-2 of this story which were sent by Rosebrock to Veterans including this Author who once supported what Rosebrock was doing and tried to help him, you will see that “Poor Bully Bob” does not like it when his Victims just peacefully fight-back with an equal or greater response, or not so peaceful a response according to Rosebrock(???) that one well-known Vietnam War “Combat” Veteran allegedly perpetrated against Rosebrock who is about the same age as Rosebrock but about half-his size, and which caused “Poor Bully Bob” to get all shook-up and endeavor to file for a Permanent Restraining Order against him… One other very important piece of information you will want to immediately know before Part 2 in case you currently are or have associated with Rosebrock… Rosebrock is “an ear”, a “street-name” meaning “an informant”, “stool-pigeon”, or “tattletale”… So if you have told Rosebrock anything “Confidential” he will later use it against you to try and “extort” or “blackmail” you… And even if that Confidential information you told him is “benign” or he or he has nothing on you, then Rosebrock will “Fabricate a Lie” and use it against you, for example, by being “an informant” to the VA openly or anonymously, to vengefully get homeless, disabled or financially disadvantaged Veterans kicked-out of homeless Veterans Programs, the very same Veterans he says he is trying to help???
You may ask for what reasons does Rosebrock perpetrate all these horrendous acts??? Below in an E-mail written by Rosebrock are “Barrages of Vitriol” and “Anger” from Bob Rosebrock against Jewish Chaplain Dov Cohen who is the President of the Resident’s Association at the California Veterans (CALVET) Home located on the property of the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, all because Cohen contacted people Rosebrock does not like, and because Cohen wanted to have a Veterans “stand-down” differently than Rosebrock want it. It is followed by Cohen’s E-mail response to Rosebrock with a Preface to me explaining the circumstances. You should duly note in comparison to Rosebrock’s threatening and disrepectful words and tone of his E-mail to Cohen, the respectful and almost pleasant language and tone Cohen responds to Rosebrock’s Nasty E-mail…. This E-mail to Cohen is just one of many Typical Nasty E-mails Fellow Veterans and others get, and that you will get from “Bully” and “Control Freak” Bob Rosebrock when you disagree with him on how to help homeless, disabled, and financially disadvantaged Veterans with such things as “stand-downs” or housing alternatives to Veterans Homes such as HUD-VASH Housing Vouchers, or you contact certain people that Rosebrock has interacted with and whom he believes he personally owns. You should also duly note the Cult-like manner in which Rosebrock talks about his Cult-like Veterans Old Guard a/k/a Old Guard a/k/a OG. Once again you are telling lies and seriously distorting the truth. As I said before, at least you are consistent in your hell-bent mission to destroy me and everything that the Old Veteran Guard has accomplished, while serving yourself and your political and VA bureaucrat friends.
This is a formal notice for you to “Cease and Desist” from spreading any more slanderous lies about me, the latest … that I do not support a Veteran Stand Down.
But, let me be very clear; neither I, nor the Old Veterans Guard, support any stand down that you are involved with because you are not working in the best interests of Veterans, but for your own self-serving interests and as a shill for Henry Waxman, Dianne Feinstein, Zev Yaroslavasky, Donna Beiter, Ralph Tillman, Sue Young, all who have a record of being against shelter for homeless Veterans on Veterans property, but instead support a public park where we want our Stand Down.
Nearly a quarter-century ago, Sue Young led the charge to block homeless shelter on Veterans property, but has instead used her wealth and power to finagle a public park for her fat-cat fellow homeowners.

This is to once again confirm that I have always been, and still am, in full support of a legitimate Stand Down, and your false claims that I do not support a Stand Down are libelous.
If I hear one more report that Dov Cohen is bad-mouthing me and falsifying my intentions, I will seek legal recourse for slander, defamation of character, etc.
Our Stand Down plan (attached) was proposed in 2009 and the VA has defied any Stand Down of any sort for decades and now you’re trying to give them cover with some half-ass token stand down to appease your political cronies and VA bureaucrats at the expense of all the good that has been done heretofore.
We have a federal lawsuit against Donna Beiter and Secretary Shinseki for failing to use this land to house Veterans with proper care, and the ACLU is doing its own due-diligence with discovery and depositions.
It is very clear that you do not support the ACLU lawsuit or Vietnam Veterans of America as a Plaintiff, but instead, you are trying to run interference with some sort of settlement appeasement of your own for the benefit of Waxman, Feinstein, Yaroslavsky, Beiter, Tillman, etc.
Councilman Bill Rosendahl is the only politician who has openly proclaimed support of the ACLU lawsuit, including full support of a legitimate Stand Down, and we will continue working with him and his staff and push toward a Court-Ordered Stand Down, mandated by a Federal Judge and it will be legitimately operated by Vietnam Veterans of America in cooperation with other VSO’s, community leaders, professionals, businesses, etc.
We will organize and execute the best Stand Down in America and it will be for more than three days. Our mission is not only to get homeless Veterans some temporary shelter, but jobs and permanent shelter … not just patch them up with clean clothes to go back and live in back-alley squalor … but to become proud and productive members of our society that they protected under the watch.
And we will hold it on the Grand Lawn where Sue Young of Veterans Park Conservancy (VPC), wants to build her public park, and not in some far-removed parking lot where you and the VA want to hold one.
Read the attached first ACLU lawsuit. I’ve been pushing for homeless shelter and your friends at the VA have been hell-bent on stopping it as they and Cong. Waxman, Sen. Feinstein and LA County Supervisor Yaroslavsky support Sue Young’s public park, just as you apparently do.
It is my understanding that you had Sue Young / VPC, speaking before the Cal-Vet Home Veterans yesterday.
Take a serious look at the attached Emergency Homeless Stand Down plan and note where Sue Young wants to remove vans, campers, cars, etc. along San Vicente adjacent to the VA where many homeless and disabled Veterans live in their vehicles so that they can be close to the VA hospital for their needed care.
Sue Young calls homeless Veterans who sleep in their vehicles next to her pretentious fence “visual blight.”
Sue Young used her wealth and power to get $1 million of Veterans healthcare money to build the fence to “beautify the entryway into Brentwood,” and then requested a “no parking” zone for aesthetic reasons, “so that the public would have an unobscured view of the National Veterans Park site in a dignified setting befitting the landmark property.”
Sue Young has absolutely no respect for any Veteran, unless it is wealthy retired General or Admiral that she can use to promote her public park “for the benefit of the entire community” — the same community where the Generals and Admirals live in safe comfort.

Sue Young insulting and disrespecting Stephen Sherman, a 90-year old, disabled World War II Veteran, because she did not want him in her presence while she entertained her fat-cat friends on Veterans property. Sue Young is a disgrace and you bow down and kiss her ring by inviting her on Veterans sacred grounds.
Did you ask Sue Young any “real” questions, like if she supports the ACLU lawsuit, and why the American Legion, Department of California, the Annenberg Foundation, and Carolina Winston Barrie, a Plaintiff in the ACLU lawsuit and a descendant of land donor Arcadia B. de Baker, have all formally requested that their good names not be associated with Veterans Park Conservancy?
The Annenberg Foundation was willing to forgo the $1 million they were hoodwinked into donating for the so-called rose garden, and requested not to have their name sullied by this rogue homeowner group that operates under the ruse of being a Veterans organization.
Like these well-informed people, I have formally announced that the Old Veterans Guard does not approve of VPC’s misappropriation of Veterans land for a public park — and I’ve done it repeatedly — including herein.

Bob, not only do you give yourself way too much credit for just driving me to the VA, you are also so far removed from the real homeless Veteran dilemma that you think that myself and any other homeless Veteran, especially one that is also a Veterans Advocate, that you would think that We do not know about all the programs that the VA and Non-Profits offer, as well as to where We can get free meals and showers, and at least overnight shelter some of the time, as well as VASH Section 8 and regular Section 8 Housing… Then when I get accepted to the VA Domiciliary and after 3-months there I tell you I have saved $1800 which is what they want you to do in order to have part or all of the money for a Security Deposit for HUD-VASH or other Housing, instead of you being Happy for Me, you become envious of me, saying that you don’t even have $200 or $300 in savings. In the morning of June 20, 201 I had E-mailed Talitha Davies Wegner to see if she would take a case involving unlawful activities against me by VA emploees. Wegner was an Attorney whom I had met at the Flag Day Cermonies and whom Bob Rosebrock invited as a guest speaker for that event. At the Flag Day Ceremonies I had talked to Wegner about unlawful activities going on at the VA Domiciliary where I was Residing and asked her if I could contact her about. Wegner voluntarily gave me her personal E-mail to contact her…

Rosebrock ordered his Volunteers (Can’t really Order Volunteers) not to have any kind of contact with her even if they wanted to employ her as an Attorney Rosebrock told me in his e-mail herein and verbally in person after I did contact her to possibly represent me… Rosebrock thinks he owns his Volunteers and everyone else with whom he has contact.

During the evening of this same day I was having coffee with a friend at the local Starbucks in the wealthy and affluent Brentwood neigborhood,the same neighborhood where Bob Rosebrock ironically lives,because Rosebrock has criticized the Wealthy Residents of Brentwood for 5-years as being the reason why Veterans Homes are not being build on the adjacent West Los Angeles VA Medical Center Property.
Rosebrock told me he lives with an Elderly Woman in a 2-bedroom/2bath Apartment in Brentwood and pays only $350 per month for rent but he has to help his roommate/landlord driving her to appointments and food shopping to get that low-rent.
Here is the biggest irony and hypocracy though about Rosebrock… In 2010 the State of California built a brand-new “State of the Art” California Veterans Home (CALVET) for independent Veterans like Rosebrock who does not need any assistance in getting around.
They designated 86-beds for the independent Veterans, and the rest of the 300+ rooms for Veterans who need assisted living or nursing home aid and attendance.
The rent at that time at the New CALVET Home which include 3+ meals per day was 45% of the Veterans income. Rosebrock at the time told me he was making less than $1000 per month from Social Security Retirement, so Rosebrock’s rent would have been less than $450 per month including 3+ meals per day.
Yet Rosebrock who has been advocating the building of Veterans Homes for not only homeless Veterans but financially disavantaged Veterans like Rosbrock,Rosebrock did not apply to live in the brand-new CALVET home, which lends credence to my survey that 80% of Veterans do not want to live in Veterans Homes, they want to live in independenly in Hud-Vash Section 8 apartments or single family homes…
Rosebrock (A “Control Freak” and Bully) came by Starbucks and we chatted for a few moments when suddenly, Rosebrock using his 6-foot 4-inch height and 250-pound “Bully”body got-into my face and went intoA RAGE about how he told me and all other Volunteers who were Demonstrating every Sunday on Wilshire and San Vicente just outside of VA Property for the last 4-years that they were never to contact Wegner or any of his other sources like Members of the Press or Celebrities he invited to events or introduced to the Volunteers.
When I responded to Rosebrock that I never heard him say that which could be due to my major in both hearing losses in both ears (in which the VA ordered 2-hearings aids for me because of those hearing losses which I had not received yet) Rosebrock said I was lying!!! I also explained to Rosebrock that I was not asking Wegner for free services that if she took the case and prevailed she would be paid for her services and more… Being the “Control Freak” and “Bully” that Rosebrock is, my reasonable answer still did not satisfy Rosebrock… So to try and end this ridiculous confrontation by Rosebrock I endeavored to apologize to him for the misunderstanding and still that was not acceptable to Rosebrock…
Writer’s Note: When I told Ernie Hilger, another Veteran Volunteer that ocassionally Demonstrates with Rosebrock that Rosebrock criticized Hilger in a conversation he had with me for Hilger making contact with Olympic Gold Medalist Rafer Johnson at one of Rosebrock’s events, Hilger told me that Johnson asked Hilger if he wanted his e-mail address so that they can converse in the future.
So just before leaving with my friend, Rosebrock uttered without getting into details: “What you did to your landlord”, “What you did to your landlord!!!” I was saying to myself what does the Lawsuit I had with my former landlord in Florida who gave me a 15-day Notice that she was terminating my tenancy the day after I published a story online about her titled
Landlord Berates 80-year old 2-War Veteran who was one of my neighbors and a Tenant of hers… And then 6-weeks later when I still did not leave she not only filed an eviction in county court but fabricated in the court action that the reason she was evicting me was because I was affectionaltely and sexually in love with her and would not stop pursuing her and published that story online as well… have to do with what we were discussing??? But I did not respond at that time to Rosebrock about my former landlord(but rather responded months later in an E-mail I wrote to Rosebrock when I realized that Rosebrock was not just endeavoring to embarass me in front of my friend the night before but was also endeavoring to EXTORT ME to not protest any of his ridiculous DEMANDS…)…
As you will see in an E-mail below, the next day I even went further to apologize to Rosebrock by writing him and telling him that I promised I would not have any conversations with Wegner or any of his other sources and contact associated with his Old Veterans Guard at future events or even if I met them on the street or even at an unrelated public or private event… But instead of accepting that apology, Rosebrock responded with an even MORE DEMENTED response in an E-mail letter to me the next day which is also set forth below…

I mentioned that she was an attorney and your eyes lit up and you started asking questions about her … and I SPECIFICALLY TOLD YOU THAT SHE WAS NOT TO BE USED FOR PERSONAL INTEREST and YOU AGREED.
And don’t give me your “hard of hearing” and that I don’t remember what I say, because its pure BS! You know it and I know it.
I emphasized the aforementioned “stay away from our attorney help” with you because you are an EXTREMELY LITIGIOUS PERSON and I did not want you badgering her for personal interest, yet that’s precisely what you did.
She did not announce at the Flag Day event that she was an attorney — you already knew that she was an attorney and sorted her out and dumped your problems on her as a representative of the Old Veterans Guard.
This was strictly a Flag Ceremony and she set aside her valuable billing hours to sacrifice for the greater good. But there’s Terry hustling a speaker … my own contact … who has agreed to support and help our cause ‘within reason.’
Tally, like most people, are always gracious at events like this and don’t expect to get hustled. Why do you think the Annenberg’s and most big name people avoid these kind of public events — because there’s always someone trying to hustle them for personal gain. But everything you say or do is about you. Instead of being grateful that you have a roof over your head, a warm bed, shower, three square meals, etc., you try to conjure up some isolated incident and call it abuse. “If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.” You may want to think on that. And $1,700 is about $1,500 more than I’ve got and I consider myself “prosperous” because I have my good health and positive attitude at age 70.
And lest you’ve forgotten, I also put my personal GOOD NAME on your application to help you get VA / HUD rent vouchers. I’ve gone out of my way to help you and all you do is want more and more — the easy way — lawsuits.
You’ve used my ACLU contacts, VA contacts in D.C., and now Tally because poor Terry was “abused” with reverse discrimination. Get a grip on reality!
Why not take the positive side and try to help out at the Dom instead of demanding more … what’s going to be your next complaint that you want a private suite with room service.
When are you going to do something for yourself and others? And don’t give me this BS about winning a personal lawsuit about “religious” indoctrination while eating at the public trough is “abuse.” Thank God Almighty that you are being cared for.
If I thought for a second that you were really being “abused” in the sense that most people know and understand it, I’d be knocking down doors in your behalf. You don’t look at your current situation as safe shelter and care, but as an opportunity to hustle the system.
I could go on about other issues that have given me concern, but I AM A BUSY MAN trying to help those WHO REALLY NEED HELP because they are terribly disabled and incapacitated.
Recently, I was able to assist a 180% disabled combat Veteran who suffers from PTSD, paranoia, bipolar, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, sleep deprivation, nightmares, etc., including a serious back injury. He was unable to live at the Dom because of his paranoia and was sleeping behind a dumpster in Brentwood. LAPD came along and took his personal belongings while he was out picking up cans and bottles to survive. That’s ABUSE Mr. Richards! Through coordinated efforts, we were able to get him a conservator because the VA would not send him his disability check without an address. He is now living in an apartment and doing well.
Terry, you’re a bright guy who has misdirected his talents. You should take $500 of the $1,800 and go to Best Buy in neighboring Westwood and buy yourself a laptop so that you can become independent. Work on getting rent vouchers to get your own place and become a productive citizen, and not a “victim” and hustler of the system.

I mentioned that she was an attorney and your eyes lit up and you started asking questions about her … and I SPECIFICALLY TOLD YOU THAT SHE WAS NOT TO BE USED FOR PERSONAL INTEREST and YOU AGREED.
And don’t give me your “hard of hearing” and that I don’t remember what I say, because its pure BS! You know it and I know it.
I emphasized the aforementioned “stay away from our attorney help” with you because you are an EXTREMELY LITIGIOUS PERSON and I did not want you badgering her for personal interest, yet that’s precisely what you did.
She did not announce at the Flag Day event that she was an attorney — you already knew that she was an attorney and sorted her out and dumped your problems on her as a representative of the Old Veterans Guard.
This was strictly a Flag Ceremony and she set aside her valuable billing hours to sacrifice for the greater good. But there’s Terry hustling a speaker … my own contact … who has agreed to support and help our cause ‘within reason.’
Tally, like most people, are always gracious at events like this and don’t expect to get hustled. Why do you think the Annenberg’s and most big name people avoid these kind of public events — because there’s always someone trying to hustle them for personal gain. And Terry, you are a hustler … and that’s not a compliment.
Nonetheless, you approached her and tried to hustle her by using the Old Veterans Guard’s good name — you even capitalized it so that she would think that we were involved with your personal issues. The Old Guard is not involved … I am personally trying help you.

You may want to look at the photo overview that I sent out yesterday on the Flag Day ceremony. You won’t find my name or the Old Veterans Guard name anywhere except at the very end — yet everything that happened from the facilitation and installation of the Flag Memorial to arranging and coordinating the Dedication Ceremony, to the photo follow up, was done solely through the Old Guard and under my hard work.
We let our work speak for itself. People come to us, as did Tally, and ask how they can help our cause to save this land because they see our sincerity and dedication.
But everything you say or do is about you. Instead of being grateful that you have a roof over your head, a warm bed, shower, three square meals, etc., you try to conjure up some isolated incident and call it abuse. You’ve been able to save $1,800 which is $1,700 more than you arrived with yet you want MORE!
Mark Twain said“If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.” You may want to think on that. And $1,700 is about $1,500 more than I’ve got and I consider myself “prosperous” because I have my good health and positive attitude at age 70.
And lest you’ve forgotten, I also put my personal GOOD NAME on your application to help you get VA / HUD rent vouchers. I’ve gone out of my way to help you and all you do is want more and more — the easy way — lawsuits.
You’ve used my ACLU contacts, VA contacts in D.C., and now Tally because poor Terry was “abused” with reverse discrimination. Get a grip on reality!
Why not take the positive side and try to help out at the Dom instead of demanding more … what’s going to be your next complaint that you want a private suite with room service.
When are you going to do something for yourself and others? And don’t give me this BS about winning a personal lawsuit about “religious” indoctrination while eating at the public trough is “abuse.” Thank God Almighty that you are being cared for.
If I thought for a second that you were really being “abused” in the sense that most people know and understand it, I’d be knocking down doors in your behalf. You don’t look at your current situation as safe shelter and care, but as an opportunity to hustle the system.
I could go on about other issues that have given me concern, but I AM A BUSY MAN trying to help those WHO REALLY NEED HELP because they are terribly disabled and incapacitated.
Recently, I was able to assist a 180% disabled combat Veteran who suffers from PTSD, paranoia, bipolar, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, sleep deprivation, nightmares, etc., including a serious back injury. He was unable to live at the Dom because of his paranoia and was sleeping behind a dumpster in Brentwood. LAPD came along and took his personal belongings while he was out picking up cans and bottles to survive. That’s ABUSE Mr. Richards! Through coordinated efforts, we were able to get him a conservator because the VA would not send him his disability check without an address. He is now living in an apartment and doing well.
Terry, you’re a bright guy who has misdirected his talents. You should take $500 of the $1,800 and go to Best Buy in neighboring Westwood and buy yourself a laptop so that you can become independent. Work on getting rent vouchers to get your own place and become a productive citizen, and not a “victim” and hustler of the system.

And what did you do after that (?), you asked Attorney Talitha Davies-Wegner to represent you in Court as Plaintiff to help you get a permanent Restraining Order against Keaveney.I read the Rosebrock vs. Keaveney Court Docket on the computer at the Beverly Hills Court House.
I also read a number of other Civil Suits in which you were both Plaintiff and Defendant
(and you had the nerve to chew-me-out and embarass me out about my Civil Suit against my former landlord in Florida and hers against me?).It appears that you were not successful in Showing Cause to the Court as to why it should issue a permanent restraining order against Keaveny.Then it was later dismissed forLack of Prosecutionby you.
Based upon all of the above, and in the manner in which I have personally seen you treat me, Dov Cohen, et al, it would not surprise me if you provoked or otherwise instigated Keaveny’s assault against you… I saw you walking down San Vicente in a frenzy and talking to yourself right after the alleged assault when you passed by Starbucks where I was sitting with Robin.
Let’s see: You and Keaveny are just about the same age and you outweigh him and are at least 4-inches taller than him, and you were in the Army stationed in Hawaii driving a Colonel around in a jeep or other vehicle.
